Introduction of Person in Charge

We have listened to Mr. Yuki Haraguchi from Research and Development Office/ Disaster Response Office General Manager

Since 2019, Mr. Yuki Haraguchi has been actively involved in the support activities of Good Neighbors Japan. He began with “Good Meal,” a food assistance program for single parent households, and now leads disaster relief efforts and the development of new support initiatives, working on the front lines of aid delivery.

Following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that struck in January 2024, Mr. Haraguchi remained on-site for nearly six months from the immediate aftermath. His support included providing hot meals and supplies at evacuation centers, distributing home appliances to temporary housing units, and offering educational and Psychosocial support to elementary school children, always focusing on the needs of each individual affected by the disaster.

Regarding the upcoming “the Giving Machine” event, Mr. Haraguchi shared the following message:

“I’m looking forward to the event. Through the Giving Machine, I hope more people will learn about the work of Good Neighbors Japan and support us through donations.”

In addition to financial contributions, Good Neighbors Japan also welcomes volunteers for activities such as food distribution. If you’re unable to use the Giving Machine during its installation period, donations can also be made through the GNJP’s official website.
